“Through our pledges, we will support local communities to be successful, inclusive and to provide opportunities for all.”

Looking ahead

Carewatch has made a series of pledges for 2022-23 that will help us build on our ambition. These form part of our new Social Value strategy.

Some examples

  • We will prioritise the local supply chain through our expenditure, to benefit local businesses.
  • Over the summer, we will be increasing our provision of internships, providing young people with valuable work experience.
  • We will deliver ‘local skilled volunteering’ to mentor and coach individuals, communities, and businesses in need.
  • We will reduce the use of single-use materials entering landfill.

About the Social Value Quality Mark

  • The Social Value Quality Mark recognises distinction in values-led business that benefits customers, communities and the planet. It is one of the most rigorously tested standards of its kind in the UK.
  • Hartwig will now seek to move onwards and upwards to Level 2 accreditation.
